Extra Cooler
If you're lucky enough to own one of the latest twin-turbo'd Threes but feel that the standard 306bhp isn't quite enough fear not. CA Automotive is now selling a Race Precision uprated turbo intercooler for all E90 and E92 335is. The upgrade improves the cooling thermal efficiency by about 80%, translating into an approximate 25bhp gain in rear wheel horsepower over the standard factory tube and fin intercooler. At under a thousand pounds it represents excellent value for money and should provide a decisive edge over the standard car.
In addition CA is now stocking the GruppeM carbon fibre ram intake system for the new E92 M3. The system draws cold pressurised air from the factory brake duct to provide improved airflow and reduce intake temps which subsequently adds power and improves the vehicle's throttle response. As well as this, CA is now also able to remap the M3's ECU. The process adds a further 21bhp taking the car from 420bhp up to 441bhp.

German exhaust specialist, Bastuck, has released a performance exhaust system has released a performance exhaust system that has been shown to improve the power of the new M3 by 4bhp. Maximum power was measured at 406bhp with 284lb ft of torque. The 70mm bore system fits to the original catalytic converter and has been approved for road use throughout Europe. It features Quattro Race double tailpipes with twin 85mm diameter exhausts each side, and the system is said to dramatically reduce backpressure. It's also produced in aircraft grade steel which is sure to stand the test of time and will make the M3's beautiful V8 far more vocal.
If that's not enough for you Bastuck also offers a far more extreme motorsport system without TüV approval. Featuring bullet silencers and twin single tailpipes the racing system is 10kg lighter than the road version and offers more power, while retaining the same level of emissions. We've heard the system is pretty loud so it may be more suitable for racing car development and race teams, especially as it is over £300 cheaper than the road-going upgrade.

Leading suspension specialist Spax has released a RSX height adjustable coilover kit for the E90. The kit features Krypton gas-filled dampers with stainless steel height adjustment threads and bump and rebound adjusters that enable damper adjustment. Ride height can be changed from between 35 and 65mm at the front, and 40mm at the rear, while bump and rebound can be adjusted through 28 separate stages. The damper bodies feature a beautiful powdercoated finish and as ever each unit is dyno tested and fully approved before it leaves the factory.
