Louise Woodhams - Editor

How long have you been at PBMW?
I joined the company in March 2003 as Staff Writer.
What job did you have before PBMW?
I worked as a freelance motoring journalist writing for several local newspapers, the Motor Caravan Magazine and Volvo Magazine (everyone has to start somewhere). The money wasn't very good though (some things never change) so I also worked as a Box Office Assistant at the Chichester Festival Theatre. One of my first comments to a customer - "I can fit you up the rear" - sales was never my strong point!
What's the best part of working on PBMW?
Traveling the world and getting to see some of the best cars on the scene and meet new people. I feel very privileged getting paid for doing something I love.
What's the worst part of working on PBMW?
Having to work long hours and most weekends during the show season, constant deadlines and not taking enough holidays.
What's your favourite PBMW feature car of all time?
Difficult one. It's a toss up between the Dutch E30 M3-engined 2002tii Touring with Turbo body styling from November last year or the Swedish 963bhp M5-engined turbo'd E30 M3 from September 2006.
What's the worst chat-up line you've ever heard?
Being asked by a man in his forties wearing a long leather coat if my flat mate and I were twins, we don't even have the same colour hair or eyes. It emerged during a lock-in later that evening he made a living selling 'adult entertainment' and was sleeping with his girlfriend's mum, never trust Tunbridge Wells types!

Joel Newman - Staff Writer

How long have you been at PBMW?
I have been at PBMW since July 2006.
What job did you have before PBMW?
Before PBMW I worked in the U.S. for Ridley Scott's film production company, RSA. I read and approved scripts and made sure there were lots of exciting projects in the pipeline for our directors to look at.
What's the best part of working on PBMW?
Living, breathing, eating and sleeping cars! I have been infatuated with them all my life so turning my passion into a career has always been my ambition. It's great to be involved in something you love.
What's the worst part of working on PBMW?
Knowing that everything you write will be scrutinised by thousands of BMW enthusiasts all looking for that elusive mistake. It's daunting but very rewarding.
What's your favourite PBMW feature car of all time?
That's easy, Krishna Lalwani's E46 325i Turbo from January 2006. It may have all the subtlety of a fart in church but this street version of the awesome M3 GTR is one car I'd kill to own.
What's the worst chat-up line you've ever heard?
"I may not be the best looking girl in here, but I'm the only one talking to you". What can you say?!

Lydia Brooker - Advertising Manager

How long have you been at PBMW?
I started in November 2002 so I've been at Unity four years now. I worked for BMW Car during my first year but I've been working at PBMW for the last three. .
What job did you have before PBMW?
I worked for a Telecoms company as a sales executive making appointments for the sales manager and for telephone and voice recording systems.
What's the best part of working on PBMW?
The people I work with and the opportunity to modify my own BMW. I have been into cars since I was a teenager.
What's the worst part of working on PBMW?
Deadlines are a real stress, couple that with the fact I sit directly outside my boss's office.
What's your favourite PBMW feature car of all time?
Curtis Engel's Inka Orange turbocharged 2.5litre 2002 from April 2006
What's the worst chat-up line you've ever heard?
"Do you like to dance?" Well could you go and dance over there so I can talk to your friend?
